Hi, I'm Cristina Mihaela Jianu. I'm an integrative counsellor and NCPS Accredited Registrant. I work with adults going through difficult periods in their lives, feeling overwhelmed, stuck, or wanting to better understand themselves and the patterns they repeat. Alongside my private practice, I work therapeutically within a residential rehabilitation setting, supporting people through addiction, recovery and the 12-Step process.

My understanding of emotional distress is informed not only by my professional training and therapeutic experience, but also by having navigated adversity in my own life. This has deepened my understanding of how complex emotional distress can feel and strengthened my belief in the importance of being met with compassion, authenticity and without judgement during difficult periods.

You don’t have to come to therapy knowing exactly what you need. We can figure that out together as we go.

I am particularly interested in understanding why we think, feel and behave in the ways we do. This might mean exploring earlier experiences and relationships, recognising patterns that continue to influence your present, or developing practical ways of managing difficult thoughts and emotions.

I draw on a range of therapeutic approaches, adapting our work to what feels most helpful and meaningful for you:
